Surveillance Cameras

1. INTRODUCTION
REMA TIP TOP Holding Benelux B.V. utilizes (visible) surveillance cameras at the location(s) of its subsidiaries REMA TIP TOP Nederland B.V., LBS Conveyor Belts B.V., and Transportbanden Service Nederland B.V. (hereinafter: 'REMA TIP TOP', 'we', 'us', or 'our').
The surveillance cameras involves the processing of certain personal data. We respect your privacy and ensure that personal data is treated confidentially and in accordance with applicable privacy laws.

2. CAMERA SURVEILANCE AND  ITS PURPOSE(S)
In the context of surveillance cameras, your personal data may be processed. We process data for the following purposes:
-    ensuring workplace safety.
-    eetecting and preventing theft and damage to private property of REMA TIP TOP employees.
-    detecting and preventing theft and damage to company property of REMA TIP TOP.

3. LEGAL BASIS
The legal basis is a legitimate interest. This legitimate interest includes:

-    preventing and detecting infringements on property rights of employees and/or REMA TIP TOP.
-    preventing and detecting theft of private property of REMA TIP TOP employees.
-    preventing and detecting theft of company property of REMA TIP TOP.
-    preventing and detecting (other) unlawful behavior.

Surveillance cameras are necessary due to reports of (suspected) theft of (private) property. Camera Surveillance is part of a comprehensive set of measures. The locations where the cameras are placed are clearly marked with stickers, indicating the areas under surveillance. The cameras do not record sound. Additionally, the recordings are only reviewed after an (alleged) incident. The necessity of surveillance is periodically evaluated.

4. DATA RETENTION PERIOD
Visual information is retained for a maximum of seven days unless there is an incident, request, objection or complaint. In such cases, the relevant visual information is kept for as long as necessary for resolution, after which it is promptly deleted.

5. SHARING PERSONAL DATA WITH THIRD PARTIES
If necessary, REMA TIP TOP may share video recordings within the group and with third parties.

6. SECURITY
The camera system is secured against unauthorized use. The visual information is stored within REMA TIP TOP in an area secured against unauthorized access. Only authorized personnel have access to the visual material.

7. RIGHTS
You have the right to access the personal data we process about you. You have the right to have your personal data corrected or deleted if the data is not (anymore) correct or if the processing is no longer justified. Under certain circumstances, you can also restrict the processing, request the transfer of your data or object to the processing. We will assess whether we can comply with your request under the law.

The Compliance Officer can handle the request or any complaint and can be reached via email: complianceofficer@rttbenelux.nl. We will respond within 30 days of receiving your request. This may take longer due to the complexity of the request but not longer than three months.

It is possible that we cannot fulfill the request, for example, due to the rights and freedoms of third parties. If we cannot (or cannot fully) fulfill a specific request, we will communicate this to you with justification. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority (the Dutch Data Protection Authority).
